  • Limit the number of phrases targeted on a single page, stick to 2-3 phrases (max)
  • Limit your titles length - 85 characters max, we recommend you stick to around 40-60 characters
  • Limit title to relevant target phrases, avoid irrelevant words (ie phone number, url, brand)
  • With similar phrases, avoid repeating core phrase parts back-to-back (ie "Free SEO Guide | SEO guide")
  • Use phrases relevant to your page's content, avoid phrases the content can't support
  • Use the exact target phrase at least once, at the beginning of the page title
